Cut in a beautiful elongated octagon shape, this scapolite has the most fascinating horizontal inclusions that run parallel to its long facets. As the light catches the stone, incredible flashes of rainbow appear from within, making it almost impossible to stop looking at.
It's these unusual internal characteristics that made me fall in love with this gemstone. Something completely unique, and a beautiful example of why I love gemstones with character.
Set in a substantial bezel of solid 9ct yellow gold (the bezel alone weighs an incredible 7 grams!) and suspended from a beautiful paperclip chain, this one-of-a-kind necklace has a gorgeous weight to it, with the gemstone taking centre stage.
